Larry Orzio Oagan is a fictional character who was created by Charles M. Schulz for his comic strip Peanuts. He is one of the main characters in the strip and is known for his laid-back and cool attitude. Larry is often seen wearing sunglasses and playing his guitar. Larry is portrayed as a teenager and is a close friend of the other main characters, such as Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, and Linus van Pelt. He is often seen hanging out with them and participating in their various activities.

Long associated with Carlos Santana , with whom he had a 16-year stint, trumpeter Bill Ortiz steps into the spotlight here with an auspicious and highly entertaining session. Ten selections showcase Ortiz who is supported by some of the Bay area's best. The order of the day is energy, excitement, and an overall superb show.
"Sunburst," an Eddie Henderson tune, launches things with a pulsing piano, driving bass, textured rhythms and Ortiz wailing, first using a Harmon mute then an open horn over a deep percussion bed. "Alex the Great" keeps the exotica going up-tempo with Ortiz and saxophonist Azar Lawrence starting, and a fine Matt Clark piano solo. Wilton Felder 's "Aint Gon Change A Thang" is another burner with Latin overtones, featuring a fine Lawrence tenor solo, and Ortiz adding pedalled effects.
Ortiz is an outstanding modern player who, while reflecting the aforementioned Henderson, Woody Shaw , Miles Davis , and their influences, draws heavily on his electric, contemporary experiences with Santana, et al. With a fine sound, great range and fluidity, he commands his horn and it spews truth.
With homage to Jaco Pastorius , the ensemble presents a lengthy, expansive panorama of trumpeted Ortiz effects reverberating over fire- brand percussion on "Okonkole y Trompa." "A Toast to the People," a chant-like testimony is brilliantly delivered by vocalist Terrie Odabi . "Fusion/Noche Cubana" is pure, unadulterated polyrhythmic frenzy, over which vocalist Christelle Durandy and both Ortiz and Lawrence thrive. Wayne Shorter 's textured "Oriental Folk Song" has Ortiz and Lawrence stating the melody before a blue groove takes stage and each is blowing hard. "My Lord and Master" from The King and I closes things in a subdued, reverent manner.
Vocalist Terri Odabi is featured on two tracks and exhibits an inviting voice. The supporting group is outstanding; pianist Matt Clark, bassist John Santos , drummer, Dennis Chambers and percussionists are all terrific as ensemble and soloists. The album's sound and other production values are impeccable.
Points of View from Bill Ortiz is a stellar performance in every regard. It is easily one of the best recordings released in 2023.

1. Grace - 2/5 - I was really disappointed with "Larry ortzi oagan". The plot was confusing and all over the place, and the characters were not well-developed. The dialogue felt forced and unnatural, and I couldn't connect with any of the characters. The pacing was also off, with some scenes dragging on for too long while others felt rushed. Overall, I found this film to be a major letdown and would not recommend it.
2. Mark - 1/5 - "Larry ortzi oagan" was the worst movie I have ever seen. The storyline was nonsensical and the acting was laughable. It was obvious that the actors were not experienced and could not deliver their lines convincingly. I found myself constantly rolling my eyes and wondering when this nightmare of a film would end. Save your money and avoid this disaster at all costs.
3. Rachel - 2/5 - I had high hopes for "Larry ortzi oagan" based on the trailer, but it fell flat for me. The cinematography was decent, but the story lacked depth and never fully engaged me. The performances were mediocre at best, and I found it difficult to believe in the characters and their motivations. The ending was also underwhelming and left me feeling unsatisfied. Overall, I was left feeling disappointed and wished I had chosen a different movie to watch.
